The Travel Two
The Travel Two is a passionately curated travel journal which hopes to inspire others to see more of the world. Created by two friends who live and breathe travel, our aim is to document the weird and wonderful while unearthing any hidden gems we find along the way. At The Travel Two we like to write about all sorts. Our Destination Guides will give you the low down on what’s what, our Hand Picked features deliciously dissect the most glorious travel experiences this planet of ours has to offer and our Journal posts are a holiday inspo one-stop shop. We believe in responsible travel; respecting all people, culture and lifestyle choices. We also offset our travel related carbon footprint with ClimateCare.org who work to create effective and sustainable programs to combat global environmental and social issues. We know how hard it can be to get away sometimes so we hope that our scribbles will in some way tie you over until your next trip.

Daniella was 17 when she embarked on her first trip in search of adventure, a month long stint in Thailand was all it took to open the floodgates of wanderlust. Since then she’s juggled a few casual trips like backpacking through Europe and Australia, road-tripping from California to New York (in spite of her lack of spacial awareness on the road), climbing Kilimanjaro, dancing through the streets of Rio’s colourful Carnaval, a short emigration to Portugal and crossing the Palestinian border with a broadcasting career in Dublin’s fair city – which is also home when she can sit still! To date Daniella has clocked up a country count of 54 with a burning ambition to explore all 195 or so (before Martin, game on!) A chronic list maker, when she’s not wandering through open countryside with her Canon, you’ll probably find her watching the world go by outside a carefully selected coffee shop or laying beneath the stars with Bonobo on repeat.
Co-Founder & Creative Director
Martin is from a small village in the west of Ireland and credits his move to Dublin at 18 with igniting his obsession for travel. To date he has ventured through 58 countries, a number he’s not content with. He admits to regularly waking during the night to find his phone stuck to the side of his face having drifted off searching for last minute flights. His love for travel was further fuelled when he began producing a tv travel series, since then he has gone on to direct programming in Australia, Switzerland, Italy, USA, Finland and Croatia for some of the world’s best-known broadcasters. For him, travel is all about experiencing the unknown and particular travel highlights include couch-surfing in Iran, being grilled by a classroom full of students in North Korea and that time he ate his dinner from a toilet bowl in Taiwan, long story. When not on the road, you’ll find him hanging with his cat frank or giving his other great love in life some serious attention, brunch.
